Studio
Ulux Digital is a small development studio. We take on few clients at a time because we would rather deliver three things properly than ten halfway.
We like static when static is enough, and we build a backend when one is genuinely needed. A restaurant site does not need a server running twenty-four hours a day; a sign-up platform does. Drawing that line correctly is half the job.

What kind of projects do you take on?
Custom websites, platforms with an admin dashboard, mobile apps, and technical SEO and performance work. We build with Astro, Angular, Laravel and Firebase, and we choose static whenever static is enough.
Do you work with clients outside Spain?
Yes. One of our live projects, Smokelands, is a restaurant in New South Wales, Australia, and it was run entirely remotely. We work in English and in Spanish.
Can you publish a site in several languages?
Yes. Basauri Motorday runs in Spanish, Basque and English, and this very site is bilingual. Multilingual support is built in from the start, with hreflang tags and a separate URL per language, which is what stops Google treating the versions as duplicate content.
Do I own the code and the domain?
Yes. The repository, the domain and every account are in your name from day one. If you decide to carry on by yourself or move to another studio, you take everything with you without asking anyone.
How much does a custom website cost?
It depends on the scope, and it is agreed in writing before we start. The contact form uses rough budget bands to place the project. If the scope grows along the way, we talk about it before touching the invoice.
What does it cost to keep the site running?
A static site can be hosted at no cost: Smokelands runs in production at €0 a month in hosting. A platform with a database does need a server running, and there the cost depends on usage.
Do you take on charity projects?
Yes. When a project serves a charitable cause, we donate it. Basauri Motorday is the example: a complete sign-up platform in three languages at zero cost to the organisers.
